Tom Doll, Subaru of America CEO, recently spoke at a National Automobile Dealers Association meeting, and reportedly, the Subaru Crosstrek will soon receive a larger engine option. While Subaru has not confirmed, many Wantagh drivers would love a Crosstrek model with even more power and torque.

Learn more about the possibility of a new engine option for the Crosstrek and why the current Crosstrek may be right for you.

What Would a New Engine Option Look Like?

The current Crosstrek comes with a 2.0-liter BOXER® engine that produces 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. While this is plenty of power for most, it's expected that a later version of the Crosstrek will offer an available 2.5-liter BOXER® engine. The 2.5-liter BOXER® engine is featured on the Legacy, Outback, and Forester with 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque.

With the extra torque and power, Massapequa drivers can enjoy even greater confidence when merging and passing on the highway.

While a new engine option seems likely, it is also likely that a 2.5-liter BOXER® engine will be available on the Sport and Limited trim levels. For those in the Nassau County area who are looking for even more power, the Crosstrek could provide the perfect combination of maneuverability and exciting performance.
